About Programme:

M. Tech in Civil Engineering with specialisation in Construction Management is a two years post-graduate programme. This programme aimed at shaping the student’s managerial, technical and non-technical skills in the field of Civil Engineering. The programme is well organized and deals with the designing, planning, construction and management of different infrastructures. During this programme students can acquire knowledge of advanced learning in Project Management, Resource Management, Risk Management, Construction Optimisation Techniques, Procurement Management and other functional areas of management. The practical lab sessions require students to apply theoretical knowledge to realise their value through implementation. For this students have access to various well-established laboratories like project management lab, construction material lab, and quality practice, etc. Also, students have exposure to advanced software’s in design and Project Management Software. Students can also gain practical experience in real-world infrastructure projects.

India is a developing country with a massive requirement of trained and skilled Construction Management professionals. Our country aimed to develop its infrastructure likely upcoming projects of 100 Smart cities and housing. Hence, the post-graduate programme in Construction Management is a pool of opportunities for the students graduating from this programme.

The M.Tech. Programme in Civil Engineering – Construction Management is approved by AICTE and affiliated to D Y Patil University Pune.

Eligibility:

Maharashtra State Candidate & All India Candidates

1. The Candidate should be an Indian National.
2. Passed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field of Engineering and Technology from All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved institutions or equivalent, with at least 50% marks (at least 45 % in case of Backward class categories and Person with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).
3. Passed bachelor’s degree in the relevant course of Engineering and Technology as specified in the eligibility criteria for admission to a Post Graduate Degree course of the concerned University for which admission is being sought.
4. Obtained Non-Zero positive score in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2022) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology OR PERA-CET 2022 conducted by Preeminent Education and Research Association(PERA).

5. For sponsored candidate, minimum two years of full timework experience in a registered firm / company/ industry/educational and/or research institute / any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is sought.
