In India, the esteemed Dr. D Y Patil is renowned as a

Recognizing the imperative of providing quality education to unlock the potential of
Indian youth and catalyze positive professional outcomes, Dr. D Y Patil inaugurated
the first engineering college affiliated with Mumbai University, the Ramrao Adik
Institute of Technology (RAIT), in Navi Mumbai in 1983. Under his sagacious
stewardship, this initial endeavor burgeoned into a formidable legacy, comprising
five Deemed Universities and over 150 educational institutions, attracting students
from diverse backgrounds across India and beyond.
Since its inception, the Dr. D Y Patil Group has exemplified social responsibility
through initiatives such as furnishing education and healthcare amenities at its
universities and medical campuses, catering to individuals from all strata of
society. Educational trusts and foundations spearhead charitable health and
education programs, embodying the ethos of benevolence.
Celebrated for his exceptional leadership and revered as the "leader of the people,"
Dr. D Y Patil has served thrice as the Governor of Tripura, Governor of Bihar, and
Governor of West Bengal. His multifaceted contributions to education, industry,
science, social service, sports, and public affairs have earned him national and
international acclaim, manifesting in numerous prestigious awards and honors
bestowed upon our revered founding father.
