Event Description:
On 16th August 2019, D.Y. Patil school of Architecture, Ambi successfully completed the event of tree plantation under the National Service Scheme at college Campus and nearby village Warangwadi. Trees are the foremost for producing the oxygen in environment, they help to reduce the level of CO2 as we all know that the whole world is facing the problem of global warming and to recover from such problems, planting trees has become one of the most important aspect. The event was hosted under the guidance of respected principal maam Dr. Uma Jadhao and NSS program officer Ar. Ketki Lomte. This initiative was taken to think differently as a society to make positive changes for the betterment of our environment. The NSS volunteers and the whole of students of college were divided into groups of four, with respect to 1st to 4th year students. Trees were brought and kept together in campus the previous day. Each group had to plant a tree at the allotted place. The big trees were planted along the college roadway and small plants were taken on group’s responsibility to the village at a distance of 2 Km from college. Every group was assigned a faculty who in turn also took active participation in the event. The overall event was carried out peacefully with a smile on everyone’s face as a satisfaction to happily completing the social cause. Nearly 80 trees were planted by all including Principal, teachers and students. All were happy and experienced a proud feeling after the tree plantation event was finished, because it really feels great to do positive for the nature.
