School of Engineering & Technology offers graduate and post graduate programs namely B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. in various branches. These programmes are approved by AICTE.

Prof. Dr. Abhay A. Pawar
Prof. Abhay A. Pawar is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a post-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (Heat Power). For doctorate, He did research in the area of Predicting of Emission of CI engine by using biodiesel blends as an alternative fuel using semi-empirical approach.
Prof. Abhay A. Pawar is the Principal, D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Ambi, Pune and Professor at Department of mechanical Engineering.
He has 32 technical published papers in National & International Journals and Conferences. His research papers have been widely cited, in technical papers and reference books. He is guiding 8 Doctoral students out of which 01 research scholar completed Ph.D. from VTU, Belgaum, Karnataka, 27 postgraduate students and is credited with the establishment of Research laboratory (I.C Engine). He had worked on two major projects sponsored by N.T. Pvt. Ltd USA and SPPU. His research has led to 02 patents being registered to his credit.
He was appointed as a Member, Board of Studies Mechanical & Automobile Engineering by Hon. Vice. Chancellor of SPPU, Pune in 2016. Again, co-opted as a Member, Board of Studies Mechanical & Automobile Engineering under the category of “Eminent Person in the Subject” in 2019. He also worked as Assistant CAP Director for M.E. CAP of SPPU, Pune from 2014-2016. During this tenure, He started on screen evaluation of answer sheets.
He is actively associated with various prestigious Education/Research organisations like COEP as External examiner and DIAT in Pune for R&D activities & member of Purchase Committee. He is also a Member of Indian Society of Technical Education & Society of Automotive Engineers.
Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kherde
Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kherde is an academician with Ph.D. in Civil engineering from Mumbai University and a Gold medallist of Gujrat university in master’s study. He is having 23 years of experience and worked in the capacity of Principal, Professor and Head of the department for several years. He has worked as BOS member of civil engineering course in faculty of engineering at Sandip University, Nashik. He has successfully handled several responsibilities like NAAC coordinator, IQAC coordinator, Admission in charge and vice chancellors nominee as an observer for admission process.
He has published 11 research papers in international journals and also worked as reviewer for Springer Journal of Water Resources Management. He has also filed four patents, attended and organized several workshops and conferences and delivered numerous guest lectures. His contribution in academics involves establishment and development of civil engineering department from scratch. He has designed curriculum of B.Tech. program in Civil Engineering and M.Tech. program in Geo-informatics and Surveying Technology.
In addition to the academic contribution, he has worked on committees like Examination, Admissions, Academic Audits, Anti ragging committee, Disciplinary committee etc. He has been instrumental in planning of teaching- learning process, delivering syllabi and designing exhaustive Lab Manuals, organizing of special lectures by experts from academics and Industry, arranging Industry-Institute Interaction and designing Mentor-Mentee handbook. His positive attitude and enthusiasm has inspired colleagues and students to give the best performance and strive for excellence.
Prof. Dr. Laxman Kamble
Prof. Dr. Laxman Kamble is an academician with Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Symbiosis International University and Master’s study from Shivaji University. He is having 22 years of experience in industry, research, and teaching and worked in the capacity of Principal, Professor and Head of the department for several years. He has successfully handled several responsibilities like NBA coordinator, Dean Academics, Admission in-charge, R & D Head etc.
He has published and presented more than 10 research papers extensively in international journals & conference proceedings and also worked as reviewer for American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Journal of Heat Transfer. He has attended and organized several workshops and conferences and delivered numerous guest lectures.
His contribution in academics involves establishment and development of Mechanical Engineering Department from scratch. He has designed curriculum of B.Tech. program in Mechanical Engineering and M.Tech. program in Heat Power Engineering. Particularly he has developed the curriculum of Thermodynamics as subject chairman in Savitribai Phule (SP) Pune University. He is recognized as PhD Guide in Pune University.
In addition to the academic contribution, he has worked on committees like Examination, Admissions, Academic Audits, Disciplinary committee AICTE, DTE etc. He has been instrumental in planning of teaching- learning process, delivering syllabi and designing exhaustive Lab Manuals, organizing of special lectures by experts from academics and Industry, arranging Industry-Institute Interaction and designing Guardian Faculty Member (GFM) handbook. He is bound constantly to review our system to update and improve while making sure that students gain thinking skills, analytical frameworks, entrepreneurial skills, interpersonal and communication skills to compete at national as well as international platform.
